What’s On: April/May

Be sure to take a well deserved break from your studies this month as Edinburgh has plenty on offer to help your relax or even run off the stress that comes with the upcoming exam season.

Paws Against Stress

It has been scientifically proven that spending some downtime with a furry friend can reduce stress levels so, if you are a dog lover, this one's for you. On both 30th April and 8th May, Paws Against Stress will be returning to Teviot Row House during which time you can cuddle up to the specially approved therapy dogs affectionately nicknamed the “Therapets”. Tickets are limited however so we suggest booking ASAP after the tickets have been released, which is the Friday before the respective dates, to avoid disappointment.

Gung Ho!

If you’ve never heard of Gung Ho! before you are in for a treat. Coming to The Meadows in Edinburgh on May 11th, Gung Ho! is an inflatable 5K obstacle course reminiscent of classic TV game shows, Total Wipeout and Takeshi’s Castle. Designed to be an inclusive, fun course, this is a great way to raise money for charity without the months of training and hard work! Be sure to check out the website below to see some of the fantastic obstacles that will be there on the day and to get some more information on how to sign up.

Avengers: Endgame

April of 2019 will be remembered as a huge month in popular culture with the final season of Game of Thrones coming to television and, of course, the end of the Marvel Cinematic Universe as we know it, in the form of Avengers: Endgame releasing in cinemas on April 25th. Avengers fans and collectors of memorabilia should check out the Odeon website provided below for information on two unique posters that are being given away for free with every ticket within the first two weeks of release.
