This year, there are plenty of purse-friendly and exciting events taking place, but here are a few of our favourites…                                                                                                      

Lights, Camera, ACTION!

The Edinburgh International Film Festival is back with awe-inspiring films from all over the world. Whether you’re a short film enthusiast or a foreign film fanatic this festival will have something to suits everyone’s tastes. And, with special screenings of ET: Extra Terrestrial and Highlander, how can you say no?

The Film Festival runs from Wednesday 15th- Sunday 26th June. Ticket prices vary depending on the film and discounts apply for those who bulk-buy their tickets (for those buying more than six tickets).

Prepare to be amazed by the many wonders at the International Magic Festival. From jaw-dropping illusionists to world-renowned mind readers, this wonderful festival will leave you feeling entranced with all things supernatural. Get ready to lose yourself in the magic!

This festival runs from Friday 1st July - Friday 8th July, with shows taking place in various venues throughout the city. Ticket prices vary depending on the show.

Pamper yourself

In need of some ‘me’ time? Featuring some of the best brands and products in health and beauty, Spa in the City returns to the city for its ninth year and promises a weekend of pampering and relaxation. Boasting a boho festival vibe, the ‘Yoga in the Gardens’ session is hosted by Lululemon, the hippest fitness brand around and all in the heart of Edinburgh’s city centre- how could we say no?

More good news for all you ‘beautyholics’- the event will also have free beauty treatments, goodie bags, mindful meditation classes and beauty masterclasses by Instagram sensation Jamie Genevieve. Tickets for Jamie’s event can be found here
