Patiently waiting until the Edinburgh Fringe Festival kicks off? Don’t worry, there are plenty of other festivals to keep you occupied until then! This month we’ve picked out some great events including the Edinburgh Jazz & Blues Festival, a festival celebrating all things Ale, and a nine-hour party in the Cowgate.

Edinburgh Jazz & Blues Festival

The annual Jazz & Blues Festival returns to Edinburgh from Friday 14th – Sunday 23rd July. With plenty of performances to choose from featuring some of the world’s best jazz and blues artists, the festival also features a Mardi Gras and Carnival. As one of Europe’s top 10 jazz festivals, this is a must for any jazz fans. Click here for further information.

Scottish Real Ale Festival

Love real ale? Sample Scottish real ales, enjoy delicious food, play traditional pub games and pick up your free festival glass at the CAMRA Scottish Real Ale Festival at the Edinburgh Corn Exchange. The festival runs daily from Thursday 6th – Sunday 9th July from 12pm – 10.30pm and entry costs £6 or £4 for CAMRA members. Click here for further information.

Sneaky Pete’s 9th birthday

Celebrate Sneaky Pete’s 9th birthday with their nine hour party in the Cowgate on Saturday 8th July. Pick up some records from the record fair, grab yourself a Sneaky Pete’s t-shirt, enjoy free pizza and donuts, and dance the night away at their regular club night. Entry costs £6.
