Student Blogs

Student life can be daunting. For most of you it will be the first time you have ever had to manage your own finances and be responsible for your own home while trying to make friends and, of course, keep up with your studies. This balancing act is not as scary as it seems, and it helps to remember that you are not alone. The following blogs and social media accounts can be a useful resource as previous students pass on their knowledge of the city while student organisations keep you in the loop with all the latest student friendly events and local discounts.

Follow your Uni

First of all, while it may seem obvious, it can be of great use to follow your university’s social media accounts as they often detail big events and PSAs that you may find invaluable. To help you in your studies we also recommend following the school with which you belong within your university, be it the medical school, business school or otherwise as these accounts may detail additional classes, extracurricular activities or useful titbits on how to get the most out of your lectures.

The Student Room

Tailored to universities across the UK, The Student Room is a great source of information and useful tools that can help you with all elements of student life. From advice on relationships and healthcare to guidance with your chosen career path, this resource is a one-stop-shop for everything student. You will also find that this website details a lot of need to know information specific to your university including facilities, courses and even previous reviews left by graduates.
