Edinburgh never fails to disappoint at Christmas and this year is no exception. With a variety of magical events on offer, we have taken the time to cherry-pick some of the most festive to help you and your friends get into the Christmas spirit!

Christmas Market

Did you know Edinburgh’s Christmas Market was voted one of the best in the UK? Head along to Princes Street Gardens for delicious food, mulled wine and gift stalls to pick up the perfect last-minute Christmas gift. If that isn’t enough, there is a variety of attractions including an ice rink and the Forth 1 Big Wheel offering a spectacular view of the city. Edinburgh’s Christmas market is open from 10am – 10pm and is free to enter so there’s no excuse not to visit at least once this festive season! Click here for further information.

Ice Adventure: A Journey Through Frozen Scotland

This wonderful exhibition features impressive ice sculptures depicting some of Scotland’s history. From the Loch Ness Monster to the Kelpies, it really is a magical experience and at £7 with a valid student card it’s one you can’t afford to miss! Oh, and did we mention they have an ice bar? Christmas Cocktail Club

If the above doesn’t get you into the festive spirit, this sure will! Montpelier’s bar and restaurant in Bruntsfield has created a brand new “Christmas Cocktail Club” where, for a £2 donation to charity, you will be given a wristband that entitles you to limited edition festive cocktails in a range of bars for only £4!
