At the beginning of the year, our sporty team pledged to walk, run and cycle the distance from Cullen in Morayshire to Cullen in New York State. Having already exceeded our target, we have decided to travel further to Cullen in the Tierra del Fuego area of Argentina, in support of Penumbra!
We have picked active ways of fundraising as many members of our team have found exercise to be helpful when coping with the effects of lockdown and Covid-19.
So far, the team have covered more than the target of 3,173 miles in just four months. As such, we have now added a little over 5,000 miles to their original challenge to raise an additional £1,350. Our team will continue to measure our progress via tracking apps and share regular updates to the team’s fundraising website: https://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/Team/CullenProperty.
Our Managing Director Steve Coyle explains: “We have been blown away by the whole team’s enthusiasm for this challenge. And, we are delighted to support a charity like Penumbra that focuses on integrating mental health support and dealing with practical life circumstances.
“What’s more, we have been welcoming new team members since the challenge started, and they were keen to get involved. It’s been a great way of bringing our team together.”
Our Marketing Manager, Scott Binnie, adds: “We believe that the funds we raise will help make a difference to someone’s life. And, if the team continues to stay this dedicated, we may have to think about a new challenge altogether!”
