St Patrick’s Day in Edinburgh: What’s on

St Patrick's Day in Edinburgh marks the start of Spring, and while the weather doesn’t always match the season in Scotland, one thing we guarantee is the number of events on offer in the city.

In Edinburgh we don't need much of an excuse to party and St. Patrick’s Day - 17 March - gives us the perfect reason to celebrate Irish heritage with a vibrant pub scene, comedy and live entertainment. We’ve compiled a list of popular events happening over St Patrick’s Day weekend, so grab your Guinness hat, your favourite green outfit and read on to see what we recommend:

List of Events
Check out the Old Town as the city celebrates with Irish-themed activities and festivals. Edinburgh’s Festival of Ireland from 15th-23rd March includes film, music, comedy and old fashioned Irish dancing. We can ensure there won’t be a shortage of things to do.

If you’re looking to go out and dance the night away with locals and students alike, then check out Cowgate’s St. Patrick’s Festival from 15th-17th March for plenty of drinks and live performances. The festival will take place over four popular venues in the Cowgate area: The Three Sisters, Espionage, Biddy Mulligans and Cabaret Voltaire. Each venue will have live entertainment and space for dancing and hanging out with friends. Get your V.I.Paddy ticket and put your best green outfit on to join in the celebrations! There will be photo opportunities, £1.99 drinks, and good times to be had by all.
