At Cullen Property we want to make every step of your Cullen Property journey as smooth and stress-free as possible. That is why we have now introduced ‘Electronic Lease Signings’ as part of our application process.
This new technology means you no longer need to make the journey into our office to sign your lease. With our ‘Electronic Lease Signings’ you can sign the lease to your property wherever and whenever you want!
What is the Electronic Lease?
Your lease is a contract you sign prior to moving into your Cullen Property, this contract outlines all the terms and conditions in relation to renting the property.
You will receive an email from us via ‘Signable’ this is a third party site we use in which the lease will be sent over to you in an electronic format. Please take your time to read through the lease prior to signing, and if you have any questions before you sign you can simply give us a call on 0131 221 1818.
When will I receive the electronic lease?
You will receive the electronic lease once your reference and guarantor checks have been completed. The lease will initially be sent to the ‘head tenant’ of the property. Once the ‘head tenant’ has signed the lease online it will automatically be sent to tenant number two. Once tenant number two has signed it will be sent to tenant number 3 and so on. Once you have signed the electronic lease you will receive a message which looks like this;
Once everyone in your group has signed the lease this will be sent back to us at Cullen Property. The next step is simply to pay the deposit and rent prior to moving into your Cullen Property, you will be given a check-in slot from our team to best suit your convenience.
Why do we love it?
At Cullen Property we feel this is a great benefit to our process for several reasons;
Firstly, it means that you can sign the lease wherever and whenever you want – at your leisure! We have found this is extra beneficial for our to-be tenants who are currently on holiday or studying abroad and would have otherwise found it difficult to come into our office at a scheduled appointment to sign the lease.
Secondly, we have found this to be a huge time saver. Now you do not have to take the time and effort out of your busy day to come into our office at a scheduled appointment to sign your lease prior to moving into your property.
Thirdly, we are trying to be as environmentally and economically friendly as possible. By having all our new leases signed online and saved in an online format – we are saving thousands of pieces of paper.
