Martyna Jablonska: Meet Our New Property Manager

Meet Martyna Jablonska, Cullen Property's latest addition to the team:

Although Martyna only joined the team in October, her previous experience in the property lettings and investment industry has seen her excel in this short space of time. Having originally worked as a maintenance coordinator, Martyna has developed her skill set and become a very successful property manager and we couldn't be happier to welcome her aboard.

Can you describe a ‘normal’ day at work?

A normal day at work is never normal and that’s what I like about it. As a property manager I am very rarely in the office. Inspections, checkouts, meeting tenants and landlords fill my days and I wouldn't have it any other way.

What do you like most about your job?

I have found that helping people to find their new home can be an incredibly rewarding experience. I also relish the responsibility of handling landlords’ investments and proving, time and time again, that they are in good hands

What is the greatest thing you have learned in your career so far?

The property lettings industry is constantly evolving and having the ability to identify and understand the trends and changes is the key to success. It is also crucial to remember that tenants want to be reassured that they will be well looked after and so you must do everything you can to ensure this happens.

Where can we find you outside of work?

I love hiking in the Pentlands, taking a stroll along Gullane’s beach and enjoying Italian food at my favourite restaurant, Mia’s kitchen.

What is your favourite thing to do in Edinburgh?

Edinburgh is such a diverse city. There is no chance of getting bored here! I love wandering around the New Town and the Botanic Gardens. I also enjoy the vast variety of restaurants that the city has to offer.

Do you have any interesting hobbies?

I love swimming (not very interesting) and travelling (not very original). I like to get out there and see the sights and I think that is why I love Edinburgh as there is so much to see and do.

Are you originally from Edinburgh? If not, where are you from and how long have you been living here?

I am from Poland and have been living in Edinburgh for 14 years now and I have loved every minute of it.

What are your future career goals?

I am quite an ambitious person so I would like to progress my career path within our industry while developing my skills and experience here at Cullen Property.

What’s your recommendation for the first place a new visitor should visit when arriving in Edinburgh and why?

I would recommend taking a stroll around New Town, Stockbridge and Dean Village to get the feel of this beautiful city. Grabbing some lunch at the Modern Art Gallery and then head off to do more touristy stuff.
