Halloween in Edinburgh

With Edinburgh’s murky history consisting of gruesome grave-robbers, Grassmarket hangings and disease-ridden streets, it’s no surprise that it’s considered one of the most haunted places in Europe. So where better to celebrate Halloween than right here in the city?

Here we have a roundup of free alternative Halloween events taking place on Saturday 31st October.

Day of the Dead at El Toro Loco: For an alternative Halloween celebration, head over to Mexican restaurant, El Toro Loco, located in the Grassmarket. From 7pm onwards, guests can enjoy a free Apple and Haberno Margarita cocktail and complimentary Day of the Dead food specials. Guests will also be given a ‘Dead Good Deal’ meal voucher to take away offering buy one get one free on burritos, and those who attend in fancy dress will be given a free meal-for-one voucher worth £10!
