Flat Hunting Throughout the ‘New Normal’ with Cullen Property

We know at the best of times flat hunting in Edinburgh can be a bit stressful. So, in light of the Coronavirus  pandemic and the introduction of social distancing measures, we have put together a sustainable plan to cater to the increased need for social distancing and safety going forward into the future.

We want to help tenants in Edinburgh navigate the uncertainty brought about by this new set of circumstances and ultimately help you find HMO flats safely, easily, and more conveniently than ever.

So, with this in mind, please follow the below steps when finding a student flat with Cullen Property, or watch our explainer video below.

Sign up to our student property waiting list

Simply sign up here and select how many bedrooms you and your flatmates need, as well as your preferred month of entry. From that information, we can send you appropriate properties that meet your criteria straight to your inbox. For example, a 6 bedroom property available in July!

Request a free virtual viewing

Once you see a property you like, request a free virtual viewing. We can send this straight to your inbox, which you can view as many times as you like, send to as many people as you want and once you've reached a consensus with your flatmates, you can then submit a note of interest.

Submit your application

If you are an appropriate candidate for the property, our team will be in touch to arrange the  next steps of the application process with you, including; background checks, referencing and guarantors.

Collect your keys in a socially distanced way

When it comes to move in day, our team will arrange for you to collect your keys in a socially distanced manner - most likely adhering to 2m social distancing, however this will be depending on whatever the latest government advice is on the date of move in.

Arrange an optional ‘virtual check-in’

Once you've got your keys, found your way to your flat and had a chance to catch your breath, you then have the option to arrange a virtual check-in with one of our team. This is an alternative to the usual face to face walkthrough we usually conduct and will allow us to put a face to names, answer any questions you may have regarding bills, council tax or any general questions regarding the property!

We hope  you found this flat hunting guidance helpful. If not, please contact enquiries@cullenproperty.com and one of our team will happily guide you through the application process.

Stay Safe,

The Cullen Property Team
