Chantelle Castillon: Meet Our New Property Maintenance Coordinator

Chantelle Castillon: Meet Our New Property Maintenance Coordinator

Chantelle Castillon joined the team in February of this year and, despite being new to the property and lettings/investment industry, has become a great asset to our Property Managers in assisting them with their daily workflow. Coming to us all the way from Brisbane Australia, she has utilised her transferable skills from her position as PA to the Communications and Community Relations Director at Brisbane Girls Grammar School to become an integral part of the team.

∙        Can you describe a ‘normal’ day at work?

No two days are ever really the same. We are always kept busy with new challenges and I wouldn't have it any other way.

∙        What do you like most about your job?

I really enjoy the team dynamic and working together to overcome the challenges that we are faced with on a daily basis

∙        What is the greatest thing you have learned in your career so far?

That I still have plenty to learn!

∙        Where can we find you outside of work?

Eating Thai Food or at the Pit Street Market. If you've never been, I highly recommend it!

∙        What is your favourite thing to do in Edinburgh/What do you like best about Edinburgh?

I love exploring the city. Edinburgh is very beautiful and it is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Scotland. I'm also a bit of a foodie so I've really enjoyed learning about Scottish cuisine on my travels.

∙        Do you have any interesting hobbies?

Travelling and kick boxing.

∙        Funniest or most embarrassing moment?

Understanding the Scottish accent is a daily challenge for me.

∙        How long have you been living here?

I have been living in Edinburgh for almost two years now.

∙        Where do you see yourself in five years’ time?

In a job that continues to challenge me and helps me develop new skills. I love to learn and develop my skill set and that will always direct my career path.

∙        What are your future career goals?

To find a position that I’m passionate about and continues to challenge me.

∙        What’s your recommendation for the first place a new visitor should visit when arriving in Edinburgh and why?

Just to adventure around town as Edinburgh has so many old and Interesting buildings. I particularly enjoyed Mary King’s Close as the history of it is fascinating.
